I like Winter again.

Take note of the injection of blog posts, because it either means I should be studying for exams or working on an assignment, haha.
With the average temps ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, it goes without saying that Sydney's Winter is in full force, and after longing for it throughout Summer, I'm beginning to hate it. Cold mornings mean more effort to get out of bed, and outfits which practically overlook any aesthetic or fashionable value, as the only thing one would care about is not catching pneumonia! It's such a Sydney whinge, as we don't even see snow during our Winter, but after seeing Summer looks on the other side of the globe, it's hard not to yearn for hot weather and the ability to wear Bassike tanks, Ksubi denim shorts and sandals!

I thought I'd end my rant by throwing a complete 180 and posting up some fabulous photos of people in their Winter get-ups.. a good tactic to make me want to put on a nice coat, or pull out some fur pieces from my wardrobe.

Miroslava, my favourite, knows how to rock Winter looks like the back of her hand.

The epitome of PLUSH.

Gotta love anoraks, they're pretty much my Winter uniform.

I love this trench, I wish a similar one was available in Sydney, but the closest version I could find was in Sweden!

Next Target

My new bag, come July (squeeeee!). I'm reeeally hoping there will be stock in Barney's or Bergdof Goodman for when my brother visits NYC next month, or else I'll be absolutely devastated. I know it's been a cult item since mid-2010, but I've waited so long to decide that I can actually do with another black bag, and judging by the longevity of my Part-Time and Sacca Bags, it'll be a keeper for years to come too.

I've also made the all-important discovery that I'm more of a bag person than a shoe person. I think the practically of my bag investments go much further than the shoes I've splurged on - hurts knowing that a lot of my expensive pairs have only been worn once or twice, and the ones that I wear to the ground were only around the $100-150 mark.. some even less!

Suit

Just perusing through Asos' New Arrivals and came across this bright and punchy ensemble. It kind of made my heart skip a beat imagining wearing this when Spring came around (mind you, Autumn's only just hit Sydney), so off I went to add it to the bag. I then realised that the shorts aren't even for sale. Argh, don't you hate that? Why post it on your virtual front window when the whole outfit isn't even available?! I'm just going to wait and pounce on the shorts when it comes in - both are nice separately, but not even close to the perfection they create when paired together.

Madness Madras

A style influential of mine, brother, Emmanuel, has been drilling in the madness of Madras this Summer - to my excitement, I came across posts with Über stylish kids today - both wearing, you guessed it.

50s Fever

Okay, so ever since Louis Vuitton's FW10/11 campaign, there seems to be a major surge in all things 1950s. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely beautiful seeing the editorial spreads in the glossy pages of Vogue, but in reality, are normal people going to be wearing these swing skirts with bustiers around town? Actually, I should rephrase it as, "How will people or retailers deliver this look to the masses?" It's not my personal taste, nor do I have the physique, to be wearing high-waisted pencil skirts with dainty blouses and embroidered cardigans; so I'm Interested to know what people's thoughts are on this trend...

New Post = I should be studying.

Why do I always feel the most motivated to update my blog when there's something I should be doing more immediately? I've been enjoying my free time for the past week, basically choosing to do anything but blog, however, as soon I received a notification of approval to sit an exam I applied for, I suddenly felt the urge to write a new post? Odd. (Well, not exactly as there's a term for this, and it's called procrastination - a term to which I am too accustomed.)

Enough of my blab. It's been an intense week of spying on Ed Westwick's whereabouts during his Sydney visit. I was lucky enough to lay eyes on him last night (well, more like gaze dreamily at) during his appearance at the city Virgin Mobile store. I've never been so afraid (and irritated) by the squealing and rampage of teen-girls in my life - I'm clearly not as obsessive of Chuck as I thought I was - Photos of this will be up soon!

In the meantime, enjoy these easy breezey street-style pics.

Hiatus

It happens every semester, when the numerous deadlines and assessments, to which you've been assigned, start to catch up with you. That's exactly what I'm being faced with now. Holidays are only 8 weeks away...

Back to School.

Sorry for the absence of recent posts. Back to uni today, which meant that I was trying to squeeze the last days of life from my Summer holidays. I'm not too upset about going back to school; after all, it's bringing me closer to finishing my degree, which is a mammoth objective I can't wait to cross off my list, so as I can get on to doing things I really want to do, but can't due to the fact that I don't have I don't have the silly piece of paper.

I've had a blast of a break - minus the working 4 days a week part - more so, spending time with my favourite people and appreciating the feeling of boredom in the evenings and the opportunity to plan out your weekend activities and/or do nothing without the haunting feeling of upcoming uni deadlines. I'm going to miss that the most.

By the way, I've been trying to test out my camera. I have so much to learn about it though - but there's never enough time. Hopefully I can pick it up with a bit more confidence before the uni overload begins; then I can finally post up some decent pictorials. In the meantime, I present to you, my amazing best friend and my view from work :)

Hope you've successfully survived this sauna of a Monday (applicable only to anyone in the country at this moment, of course).
