Acne x Daniel Silver

Went to check out the Daniel Silver x Acne collection yesterday and died.
I was almost tempted enough to whip out the credit card (which I'm sooo close to paying off) to buy more pieces, but luckily my bf was there to knock a bit of sense into me and help cull my selection. Definitely wasn't the easiest of tasks.

(FYI - some of the images are from the RTW collection)

LOVE the heels. I ordered them in black and am now considering the other colourway!

Tidy Whities

I'm not much of a girly girl when it comes to dressing, but I've always had a soft spot for broderie anglais and the odd crochet piece. These two dresses are new arrivals at the office, and I'm trying to decide which one to take home!

Rachel Gilbert SS12

I've always thought Rachel Gilbert's collections only comprised of sequins, silk and georgette., basically pretty frocks. That is, until I saw some of the range come into the office today - l Iove! The black asymmetric number needs to be in my wardrobe, stat.

Below are my favourites from the collection.

Next Target

My new bag, come July (squeeeee!). I'm reeeally hoping there will be stock in Barney's or Bergdof Goodman for when my brother visits NYC next month, or else I'll be absolutely devastated. I know it's been a cult item since mid-2010, but I've waited so long to decide that I can actually do with another black bag, and judging by the longevity of my Part-Time and Sacca Bags, it'll be a keeper for years to come too.

I've also made the all-important discovery that I'm more of a bag person than a shoe person. I think the practically of my bag investments go much further than the shoes I've splurged on - hurts knowing that a lot of my expensive pairs have only been worn once or twice, and the ones that I wear to the ground were only around the $100-150 mark.. some even less!

A Further Complication

Just to make things a bit more difficult for the decision process, I have now discovered the new arrival of these Acne Rider Boots. I really have no idea what to choose now, as both have their own benefits i.e. heel height, good balance of chunkiness (it's actually a positive for me), height of the ankle. Both pairs are also really complimentary to a lot of casual things in my wardrobe.

This issue of choosing over shoes is definitely #firstworldproblems, but it's killing me making the choice!

Suit

Just perusing through Asos' New Arrivals and came across this bright and punchy ensemble. It kind of made my heart skip a beat imagining wearing this when Spring came around (mind you, Autumn's only just hit Sydney), so off I went to add it to the bag. I then realised that the shorts aren't even for sale. Argh, don't you hate that? Why post it on your virtual front window when the whole outfit isn't even available?! I'm just going to wait and pounce on the shorts when it comes in - both are nice separately, but not even close to the perfection they create when paired together.

Missed Out

I'm a big fan of wedged boots for the basic reason that they give height without compromising too much on comfort.

I'm really kicking myself for not buying the Acne Hybria Boots when they went on sale on Net-a-Porter. I really should stop pondering too much on whether I need something, especially when it's on sale. It very rarely is there when you come back. Come to think of it, my few purchases on Net-a-Porter have all been decided on a whim, and I wouldn't have them now if I went away to try and talk myself out of them.

Which brings me to these Acnes Black Gun Boots. I know they're not wedged, but they're good for everyday. I'm just thinking about whether I'm too short for them. This time I'll give myself up until tomorrow, at the latest, to decide.

Romantic & Euphoric

This is such a beautiful video. Nice melody, and classic tailoring (my eyes are on the camel suit).

ON A MISSION

...for these Proenza Schouler Cindy Wedge Boots. They're absolutely delicious and tonight I will most probably lose sleep just drooling over and thinking of how many outfits I can make with them. I love the wrap around strap detailing and the flattering shape of the toe. Plus the wedge, oh the wedge - It'll add another few hours of standing time as well!

I know I'm short, but I'm willing to forgo my vertical challenged ways (and legs) for a pair of these suckers. At least it'll add another 4.5 inches and some warmth this Winter :).

Wish me (some major, major) luck on finding a size 36!

Just a big pencil case, really.

Quote by a [comedic] friend of mine. Hurrah for new American Apparel Carry-All pouch shades! Purchased my apple/lime green one today, and boy am I looking forward to using it. It's so amazingly priced (and from what I read in reviews and see in photos, the quality of the leather isn't too bad either. Winter has never looked brighter!

Caroline//Yellow American Apparel carry-all

My ultimate "pencil case" hunt? Celine's cobalt blue pouch a la Taylor Tomasi-Hill. Of course it's not for sale yet, and stores are undoubtedly already piled with waiting lists for the purse, but one can only dream for the chance to charge their credit card for the amount of a small fortune (or my plane ticket to Europe this year) just to own that little slice of electric blue heaven!

The Dream Team

VS.

This Proenza Schouler Small PS1 in this deliciously sunny shade is the bag of my dreams (at the moment). I literally lost sleep over the weekend just thinking about whether or not I should scrap my shopping detox and buy it whilst Net-a-Porter still has free shipping.

The problem is, this bag at GBP900.00 is one already one-third away from my beloved and dream-purchase, Chanel Medium Classic Flap

So, would you forgo your ultimate purchase for a (pretty substantial) substitute like this mini PS1? Choices, choices..

Leopard + Camel

You've seen this combo a thousand times before.. But I love it! People shunned the leopard (and was almost ruined by tacky executions and shops) but it's here, and it's not going anywhere! To be on trend, however, I'd stick to leopard in it's furry form.

As for the camel, let me reiterate the 1970s comeback.. In a huge way.

Neutrals and minimalism with a touch of animal.. Who'd have thought?!

Undecided

Hurrahh for a booming exchange rate!!! My lovely friend, Jess, is in the US of A for a couple of weeks and has been kind enough to leave me a bit of space for Wang in her already bursting luggage.

Question is, Rocco Mini or Millie?

Old School

I'm really considering buying a Polaroid-type camera. Since Polaroid models seem to have gone obsolete (apparently Lady Gaga's collaborating with them on a new one?), it looks like other manufacturers, such as Fujifilm, are trying to release their own - which I really don't mind!.. This model has a playful yet sturdy look to it. There's something about white cameras...

 Source: Hypebeast

I used to own the iZone Polaroid camera back in primary school, which now that I look at it, was a bit of a waste as the photos were oh so tiny. and a lot of the photos never developed well, but I'm missing the nostalgia Polaroids bring to photos. The fact that instead of clicking away carelessly with digital cameras, you have to be a bit more selective at what you want the precious film to immortalize. Gives each photo you take a little bit more meaning.

Wedge-obsessed

I came across these Tony Bianco pre-order wedges yesterday. I'm definitely considering them since Topshop's version sold out so quickly! The only bad news is the August delivery wait.

As you can tell, I'm not really adventurous with my choice of footwear shades.I like to stick to blacks and neutrals. That doesn't necessarily mean that I only have a couple of pairs of shoes though! You can buy any style of shoe in black and neutral versions nowadays (This was honestly not the case last year!). Plus, I think other girls, (i.e. Christine Centenera) pull off enough pairs of statement shoes to satisfy my craving.
